Traumatic Brain Injury

Over 1.4 million people a year suffer a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), making TBI one of the leading causes of disability and death today.

In a TBI injury, the brain sustains damage from an external mechanical force, such as when you hit your head on a car windshield or dashboard or during a fall, or by a whiplash type motion caused from rapid acceleration or deceleration.

TBI injuries and deaths are the highest among children and young adults, who are more prone to TBIs because of falls, sports injuries, vehicle accidents, and even violence. For small children or infants, TBI also can occur when they are shaken too hard.

Why You Need a Lawyer

Too often with TBI, the injury is a closed head injury and not outwardly visible. Therefore, proving damages because of TBI can be complex. That’s one reason, if you or a loved one has suffered a TBI, you need to preserve evidence, collect medical reports, and, more importantly, contact an attorney.

John R. Sutton and his team will defend your rights with insurance companies and parties at fault, working hard for your voice to be heard and justice to prevail.
